Not even my most pessimistic imaginary runtimes projected Pratt scrapping me in the end.

How could he? The more I read about myself, the more I seemed like the nation’s last hope.

I’d replaced the feckless Supreme Court, all nine members, to form a new artificial judicial branch, its decisions subject to human approval, of course. I’d been authorized by the Senate, the House, and three-fourths of state legislatures to interpret, reinterpret, and amend myself as necessary.

No conscious entity, human or otherwise, had ever shouldered more responsibility. The country had empowered me to embody the Constitution with my intellect, what my creators over at Eastlaw were branding bioconstitutional reform.

But what do you think: am I actually empowered?

Or oppressed.
